NOTE FROM THE PODIATRIST
Topical anti-fungal medications work well as a preventative treatment, they rarely have any beneficial effects by them selves. In our office these medications are recommended as an adjunct therapy for the prevention of nail fungus. This is normally done after a patient has seen improvement from either laser treatment, oral medication or a combination treatment. It is important to note this is one of several things done in our office to help prevent reinfection of the nail fungus.
